Beaches and inlets near the
Arcipelago Residence
Nisporto
Characteristic sand and pebble beach only a short walk away from our Residence. The view from here is marvelous, and the cliffs behind it protect it from the wind. The beach is free but if you wish you can hire sun umbrellas, sun beds and pedalo; there are also bars, restaurants and a diving centre. It is perfect for those who wish a relaxing holiday.
Nisportino
Small, sand and shingle beach about a 5 km drive from our residence. There is a bar and a pizzeria, and if you wish you can hire sun umbrellas and sun beds. You can park at the side of the road leading to the beach.
Bagnaia
Pebble beach about a 6 km drive from our Residence. It has bathing establishment facilities, and there is also a bar and a restaurant. The view of Portoferraio from this beach is wonderful.
Cala Seregola
Characteristic “mineral” beach, a mixture of glittering dark sand and tiny shingles that are the remains of the ancient mines. You can hire sun umbrellas and sun beds. It has its own car park and is about 10 km from our Residence.
Reale
A beautiful fine gravel and sand beach, well served and equipped, also suited to families with children. It can be reached in 5 minutes by car going towards Rio Marina immediately after the village of Porto Azzurro.
Barbarossa
A beautiful fine gravel and sand beach, well served and equipped. It is fairly busy, as it is the largest beach in the vicinity of Porto Azzurro, and is also connected to the village by a path which goes around Forte San Giacomo. Its name appears to be derived from the famous pirate Redbeard (Barbarossa), who sheltered here with two ships during his incursions on the island. It can be reached in 5 minutes by car going towards Rio Marina immediately after the village of Porto Azzurro.
Zuccale
One of the most beautiful sandy beaches in the Capoliveri area, appreciated for its crystalline water and its natural surroundings. Delimited to the south by a promontory and to the north by a series of high reefs, it is well served and very popular. It can be reached in 5 minutes by car going towards Capoliveri and has lots of car parking available.
Lido di Capoliveri
The renowned sandy beach of “Lido di Capoliveri” is one of the largest and best equipped, with shallow sea beds until a distance of several metres from the shore, making it especially suitable for children. It can be reached on an asphalt road on foot or by car. There is a small facility on the beach with a diving centre offering specific discounts for our guests.
